Ellie is a curious 5-year-old girl with lots of questions. In GRATITUDE, she is frustrated when a playdate by her favorite magnolia tree is spoiled by a rainstorm and decides nothing goes her way. Her Mom encourages her to stay focused on all the good things she has in her life with an attitude of gratitude. Ellie realizes she is so thankful for her family, her home, and even the rain which helps flowers grow. She loves art so her mom gives her a set of paint along with stepping stones. Each time she reflects on something she is grateful for she paints a stone. She is thankful for her dog Rose, teachers, smiley-faced pancakes, her healthy body, and nature. Soon she has created a colorful path of stones that leads from her front door to the magnolia tree. She finds JOY in everyday things, no matter how big or small. She completes the path of stones and now sees beauty everywhere and no longer needs to paint a stone because she is practicing gratitude all on her own!
