  • A Messy Christmas (Part 5: Christmas Eve) - Audio Sermon
    2024/12/24

This Christmas, let’s reframe the familiar phrase, “Jesus is the reason for the season.” While it’s true that Jesus is the central figure of Christmas, there’s a deeper layer we often miss. What if we told you you are the reason for the season? Without the mess of humanity, Jesus wouldn’t have needed to come. The truth is, Christmas is God’s response to our brokenness, and Jesus entered a messy world to bring us hope, healing, and redemption.

Let's explore the messiness of both the Christmas story and our own lives. From a young, unwed mother and a humble birth in a stable, to Jesus' flight as a refugee, the story of Christmas is anything but neat. But that’s the beauty of it: Jesus came to show us that God isn’t afraid of our messes. He steps into them.

Through the powerful prophecies of Isaiah, we’ll see that the birth of Jesus was not an accident but part of a larger plan to rescue and redeem us from our sin and brokenness. Isaiah’s words point to a Savior who is both mighty in power and tender in love—a shepherd who comes to carry us in our weakness.

Why did God choose to send His Son into the world through such a chaotic, unclean environment? The birth of Jesus wasn’t a neat, peaceful event—it was a mess, and that’s exactly the point. • A Messy Christmas (Part 2: A Messy Silence) - Audio Sermon
    2024/12/08

We invite you to reflect on a powerful, yet often overlooked, part of the Christmas story: the 400 years of silence between the Old and New Testaments. During this time, God seemed absent, yet behind the scenes, He was preparing the world for the birth of Jesus. The Israelites, living under oppression and longing for a Savior, were left wondering: Where was God? The silence was deafening. But, as we learn God’s silence does not equate to His absence. It’s a call to trust Him even when we can't hear Him.

If you’ve ever felt that God is silent in your own struggles—whether in your marriage, job, health, or personal journey—we want to offer encouragement. Discover how the silence of Christmas can actually be a promise of God's faithfulness!

Whether you're in a season of stress, loss, or just trying to juggle the mess of everyday life, you are not alone. In fact, what if your mess is the very place where God is trying to meet you? How we can listen for His voice in the middle of it all?

    2024/11/18

We delve deeper into the story of Joseph from Genesis 40, exploring the profound lessons embedded in his journey from favored son to prisoner. Joseph's life is a testament to the enduring presence of God, even amidst the most challenging circumstances. Despite being falsely accused and imprisoned, Joseph remained steadfast in his faith, demonstrating that God's promises are unwavering. His ability to interpret the dreams of Pharaoh's cupbearer and baker, even while confined, highlights his reliance on God and his commitment to serving others despite his own trials.

Joseph's story encourages us to find ourselves within the narrative, to see how God is working in our lives even when we feel trapped or forgotten. Like Joseph, we are called to endure suffering for righteousness' sake, trusting that God is with us in every trial. This journey is not without its struggles, but it is through these hardships that we draw closer to God, learning to trust Him more deeply.
