Where might God be teaching you a new song in your own season of waiting?

  • Summer In The Psalms: Finding Our Way To Prayer
    2025/08/10

Listen along as The Rev. Ashley Drake Mertz explores the depth of Psalm 52—a bold reflection on the misuse of power. Rather than a direct prayer to God, this psalm begins as a complaint against someone exploiting their position for personal gain.

It captures the tension we often feel when trusting in God’s steadfast love while wrestling with anger and injustice. Through just nine verses, the psalmist shows how our complaints can become prayers, rooted in faithfulness to God’s love and justice.

  • Summer In The Psalms: Shade And Shelter
    2025/08/03

Listen along as The Rev. Dr. Robyn Michalove delivers a powerful message based on Psalm 91 which is a message of trust and divine protection. The psalm begins by describing those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High as being safe and secure under God’s care. It paints vivid images of God as a refuge, a fortress, and a deliverer—from dangers both seen and unseen.

Throughout the psalm, there’s a sense of deep assurance: no terror of the night, no arrow by day, no plague or disaster can overcome those who trust in God. Angels are even commanded to guard and protect them. Toward the end, God speaks directly, promising rescue, honor, and long life to those who love and call on Him.

Psalm 91 is a bold declaration of faith in God's nearness, protection, and unwavering presence in times of trouble.
