In our second episode, we discuss the benefits of a Tobacco Free Parks policy and how our team has been involved in activities to increase community awareness. A tobacco free parks policy reduces secondhand smoke and tobacco litter. It changes social norms on tobacco use for youth and improves the aesthetics of parks. As members of the Metro Omaha Tobacco Action Coalition, we share information with the public about the benefits of Tobacco Free Parks. We also advocate for a Tobacco Free Parks policy at the city level.
