He tells stories because he's bored, hopeful, cynical or just feeling random. He has to teach the remnants of humanities lessons, but he chooses what that looks like. He can't give straight answers to what they need to know because if he did, they might end up right back where they started. So he chooses to tell stories about seemingly nothing or that are so heavy handed people don't believe him. Are all of his stories the truth? Are they all lies?
