このコンテンツについて
Hey, thanks for coming back to another Circus of Life episode.
This week we are welcoming a NEW ACT to the Circus. My sister Emily has recently achieved a first class degree in psychology and is now looking at her future ahead. We explore a little about our relationship as brother and sister and how that has changed over the years.
We also get into her experiences of university life and how that differed from my training in Musical Theatre before scratching the surface of her dissertation topic. Her dissertation addresses the lack of research and support when it comes to perfectionism and mental health. Stripping it right back, what is perfectionism? What are the components that qualify for perfectionistic traits? How do these perfectionistic subscales impact our mental health? We explore Emily's research and findings and draw some comparisons and differences to that of a Musical Theatre degree and finding some interesting points.
I found this conversation highly relatable and I believe that it will resonate with anyone in any form of education.
Until next time, all the best, all the love and I'll see you soon x
