On this episode, we leave the U.S. for France to discuss how a simple nose surgery nearly left someone an hour and a half away from death. My guest is Mike, whose surgery led to have a brain hemorrhage, placing him eight-week coma, and ultimately hemiplegic. How did this happen? It was an accident of epic proportions. But Mike holds no animosity. And though he lost part of his life, it’s only now that he truly feels like he’s living. This journey inspired him to become a coach, focusing on people just like him through his group, Empowering Disability. We also talk about the many places he’s lived—including a boarding school in the same town as his childhood home.
