This episode focus on doping and anti-doping in elite sports. More specifically the history and organisation of anti-doping, the challenges that the anti-doping organisations face and some prospects for the future. The topic is again made relevant by the introduction og the Enhanced, which is presented as an event that allow - and even encourage - athletes to use performance-enhancing drugs.
The guest is an international expert on the field. Jörg Krieger is a sport historian and a an Associate Professor at Aarhus university and a guest professor at University of Inland Norway, He is an extremely productive researcher and have written several book and publised a high number of articles on a variety of topics, such as the relationship between politics and international sport, athlete activism, women in sport and anti-doping. He is also the leader of the International Network for Doping Research.
