  • Happy New Year and welcome back to One For The Road. We are kicking off 2025 with Donna Francis who is an award-winning British Beauty Editor living in Florida with her family. Growing up in Islington, North London, Donna's happiest memories were at her family friends' pub, where she would celebrate new year's eve and birthdays. She wasn’t a heavy drinker in her teens or twenties, but continued the family tradition of making sure everyone’s 'glass was full’ - it was how she expressed her love. Drinking became a problem during perimenopause which hit during the pandemic. The stresses of family issues and freelance life encouraged Donna to drink more, even though she knew that couldn’t tolerate it. After experiencing too many intoxicated nights that finished with vomiting and blackouts she had enough. Donna is now 6 months sober and loves sharing her sober stories and advice to her community on social media.
