    2024/10/21

    Send us a text

Have you ever found yourself running cables in the sweltering silence of a church attic, only to stumble upon a profound spiritual revelation? Join us as we explore the unexpected and often humbling roles ministry work can take on. From moving furniture to tackling unexpected plumbing issues, the responsibilities of a pastor go far beyond the pulpit. Experience how these everyday tasks transform into moments of deep spiritual growth and reflection, shedding light on the power of darkness and our role in overcoming it.

Our journey doesn't stop there. Through the stories of biblical figures like Joseph and Jonah, we examine how spiritual darkness can manifest in our lives, often through our own actions or the circumstances we find ourselves in. Pastor Angus invites us to reflect on our proximity to spiritual light and the choices that lead us toward or away from it. This episode challenges us to consider personal responsibility in spiritual journeys and underscores the importance of community and faith in navigating these challenging times.

Embracing the warmth of community and the light of faith, we explore how nurturing our spiritual lives can be akin to tending a campfire. Just as a fire needs logs to burn brightly, our faith thrives when shared with others. Listeners are encouraged to reconnect with their faith, seek forgiveness, and find healing, ensuring that spiritual darkness does not define them. As we close, a heartfelt blessing from Cornerstone Christian Center extends love and prayers, offering warmth and light in the presence of Jesus to carry into the week ahead.

  • What is God's Plan for Your Life? | Dwell
    2024/10/14

    Send us a text

What if every moment of our lives is part of a grand, divine plan? This episode invites you to explore that thought, beginning with a personal story from my time in Paris, where J and I opened our home to young men far from theirs during the holidays. Through shared meals and conversations, we discovered the comfort and community that aligns with God's purpose for our lives. As J ministers in Zanzibar, I encourage you to engage with our life groups and linger on the theme of "dwell" from Psalm 23:1, as we strive to love God, make disciples, and reach out to the world.

Life often throws unexpected interruptions our way, but these do not derail God's intentions for us. By setting aside distractions and being fully present, we can embrace each moment as part of His plan. Through personal anecdotes, including a high school mission trip that taught me about divine provision, we uncover the steadfast support God offers as He shapes us like a potter mending clay. Our journey continues with a reflection on Esther's story, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and pursuing our unique purpose, trusting that God provides exactly what we need, even at the last moment.

As we close this episode, we encourage you to accept the transformative power of faith and embrace the second chances offered through Jesus Christ. Whether you're seeking guidance or a sense of belonging, we invite you to join a Bible-believing church. let's step forward in faith, committed to living lives reflecting our divine purpose, supported by God’s unyielding presence and love. May this week be filled with blessings and guidance as we hold hands in prayer and trust in God's unwavering protection and guidance.
