    It's a new episode of Comics with my Kids, as the Father and Son team review a new book and an old book. First up is G.I. Joe issue #1 by Skybound Image comics written by Joshua Williamson art by Tom Reilly. Logan gives us the synopsis of issue 1, the classic getting the team together book. This book picks up after the end of the Duke mini-series.




    Logan tells us about the lineup of Joes. We have Rock N Roll, Stalker, Cover Girl, Clutch, Baroness, and Duke to round out the team. We also get an introduction to Cobra's hidden base in Springfield, USA.



    Logan tells us the best bits he likes in the book while Dad talks about the introduction of the Baroness as a Joe instead of a Cobra Confederate.








    Then it's on to Incredible Hulk Issue 430 a random Hulk issue from Logan's comic collection. Originally published in the mid 1990's this issue presents the supervillain Speedfreek. An augmented human that has super speed to battle the Hulk.




    As per usual Dad and Logan discuss the high points of the book and the art style of Liam Sharpe a transplant from England that first got his start working of Marvel in the Marvel UK line of books.

    Cobra Commander issues 1 through 4

    Logan and Dad discuss what Logan is currently reading. Although this isn't a usual Comics with my Kids book as it's geared more for teens and pre-teens it is a fun book to talk about: Cobra Commander. Following the feel of the classic 80's comic and cartoon we learn a little bit about the commander in this new Energon Universe.
    Dad, tells Logan a little bit about the history of Globulus and Nemesis Enforcer from the classic GI Joe movie. Logan talks about some of his favorite parts of the book. While Dad gives his Caveat to the listen about who should or shouldn't read this book.


    The father / son duo also talk about spoilers so if you haven't read these four issues you may want to read them first them have a listen.

    This episode Logan, Dad, and Melody discuss some email from a listener in South Korea. They also brief talk about the first episode. Logan Talks about what it was like initially podcast that first year and what they have moved up to now.
    The three then discuss three different books that they have read. Logan tells us about the newest Hilo adventure from Judd Winick, and the adventure that Polly gets into on the planet of Oshun. Melody and Dad discuss an advanced copy of Blood City Rollers buy V.P. Anderson and Tatiana Hill. We learn about Mina a human figure skater that gets wrapped up with some interesting people. Melody then segways into a new book she has enjoyed called Fae and the Moon. Melody tells us Fae's adventure to find her mother and what happens when she steals he Moon.
