This same pattern is echoed in 1 John 2 and Matthew 4, where Jesus resists the very temptations they succumbed to. Through His perfect obedience and sacrificial covering, Jesus frees us from the need to perform or hide, inviting us into a life of authenticity. In a season where spiritual drift is common, we’re called to shed the baggage of imitation and walk openly and honestly with God.
