  • Fruit and thee Spirit
    2025/08/23

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, discusses the role of fruits in the creation story. He explains the difference between fruits and vegetables and the important role of fruits in the lives of humans. Dr. Hall points out that God commanded Adam to not eat from the tree of good and knowledge in the midst of the garden of Eden. He recounts the biblical story of Eve being tempted by the serpent to eat from this forbidden tree that resulted in both Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit. It is pointed out that the Bible often uses the metaphor, fruit, to describe the produce of our lives. Dr. Hall explores the fruits of the spirit as described in Scripture. The act of love and grace exhibited on the cross means that Jesus owns us and has the right to expect that we will bear fruit. • Who Is Jesus
    2025/08/16

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, surveys views about Jesus among the major religions of the world. He points out that non-Christian religions, even those that date hundreds of years before Jesus’s ministry on earth feel compelled to explain the life of Jesus. Dr. Hall goes on to point out that surveys revealed that among white evangelical Protestants 72% think that Judaism or Islam or no religion at all can lead to salvation. This is even though Jesus Christ proclaimed to be the only way to salvation. The podcast attempts to answer the question, “Who is Jesus?” Dr. Hall points out that Jesus’s statements about himself contradict the notion that he was simply a great man or prophet. Jesus clearly indicated that He was God. The idea that the only way to eternal life is through Jesus Christ is a narrowminded unenlightened viewpoint flies in the face of biblical teaching. 2025/07/19

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall discusses the catastrophic flood on the Guadalupe River in Texas that killed 133 people, among that number 37 children. At least 97 people are still missing, and search efforts continue. This tragedy is used as a platform to come face-to-face with views on the afterlife. • Language- A Gift!
    2025/07/12

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, discusses language as one of the defining characteristics of humanity. He reviews the comical efforts that linguistic scientists make to explain the origin of language. He points out that God spoke to Adam in a language that came from God himself, not through the evolution of grunts and groans of cavemen. Dr. Hall discusses the story of the Tower of Babel found in Genesis 11 when God causes the people to begin speaking different languages. The Hebrew language is considered to be the Holy language because it is the original language of the Bible. The role of the Greek language in expanding Christianity is reviewed. Dr. Hall reminds the listeners of the various ways that language can be abused and that Jesus said, “But I tell you that men will have to give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words, you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36-37). • Freedom-Where Does It Come From?
    2025/07/04

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, reviews the history and purpose of Independence Day – 4th of July. As a day when freedom is celebrated, he delves into the definition of freedom. He points out how Americans take their freedoms for granted and do not even understand what freedoms are protected by the First Amendment. Dr. Hall provides the meaning behind Jesus’s statement that, “The truth will set you free.” The kind of spiritual bondage that can enslave everyone to sin is explored. Dr. Hall points out that both Jesus and the apostle Paul emphasized that true freedom is found in obedience to God’s truth. It is pointed out that if one stays on the path of the sinful life, they will not find freedom or liberty – only allusions that will discourage them from seeking the real freedom that only Christ can give.
