このコンテンツについて
He trained the terrorists.
He plotted the bombings.
And decades later — he’s still free.
In this episode of Fugitive Files, we investigate Saif al-Adel, a former Egyptian military officer turned al Qaeda strategist, indicted for his role in one of the deadliest terror attacks of the 20th century: the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed over 200 people and injured thousands.
According to a sweeping federal indictment filed by the U.S. District Court, al-Adel was a senior member of al Qaeda’s leadership and deeply involved in its most formative operations. The charges allege that he helped orchestrate the bombings, trained operatives, coordinated logistics, and furthered al Qaeda’s mission to confront Western influence with mass violence.
The case reveals chilling details:
al Qaeda’s efforts to acquire weapons of mass destruction
Their global conspiracy to overthrow secular governments
And their hostage-taking plans inside U.S. prisons — including an attempt to murder a federal official
Saif al-Adel was charged alongside Usama Bin Laden and other key figures. But while some have been captured or killed, al-Adel remains one of the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists, with a multimillion-dollar reward offered for information leading to his arrest.
He’s believed to be living under protection in Iran, out of reach — for now.
This is Fugitive Files. Let’s get into it.
