Guest in Studio, Christopher Lawing, a noted Charlotte historian sharing the 250-year anniversary of the signing of the very first Declaration of Independence ever written in the Colonies – dated May 20th, 1775, more than a year before the other Declaration of Independence. The original version of the document was lost in a fire. Thomas Jefferson scoffed, but Mecklenburg locals claimed they had witnessed the original declaration with their own eyes. Chris shares the story...an education for all of us .. with Sharon and Ed -

Cindy Stamey, Director of Community Engagement & Veteran Relations with Carolina Caring. She handles all veterans-related events, including Veterans Coffee Connection. Carolina Caring invites local veterans to the new Veterans Coffee Connection group in Huntersville. It is a monthly gathering of men and women from all branches of military service for fellowship, support, and refreshments. This group will meet on Friday, June 13th from 9:30-10:30 AM at Huntersville Presbyterian Church. Conversations w/Ed
