    Smoke from wildfires across the prairies is blanketing eastern Canada and parts of the US and drifting as far as Europe. Wildfire smoke is dangerous, particularly for people with existing respiratory conditions. It means that wildfire smoke may be much more damaging. Fire can remobilize those toxins. He's studying ways to keep those mining-related toxins in the soil so that wildfires don’t remobilize them.
