このコンテンツについて
RESILIENT PEOPLE is a podcast hosted by Janet Fanaki. It started as a forum to share conversations with regular everyday people who are admired for their resilience and are helping others to be resilient too.
In season 5, I have has shifted the narrative to give those who have lost someone special in their life an opportunity to talk and share advice about getting back to living again. Recognizing that grief is complicated, hard and sometimes seemingly never ending, I am bringing inspiration, a new mindset and motivation to those who feel stuck in not being able to let go.
Since 2020, I experienced the passing of many loved ones: my 51 year old husband Adam to glioblastoma; dad to congestive heart failure; mom to aggressive lymphoma; and most recently my 25 year old daughter to heart failure. Now more than ever I've embraced the idea that life is too short for some and that its vital to run with the happy opportunities that live between the tough ones.
In this episode, I share my friendship and the inspiration that Beverley Burke has brought to my life. Every widow or widower should know someone like her who has not only experienced the passing of a spouse but who has also continued to build a happy and fulfilling life on their own. We all need to know inspiring people like her who can help us to move forward.
Topics included in this episode include:
- spousal loss
- grief
- setting healthy boundaries
- single life
