My predecessor set the bar pretty high but I think I’m up to the challenge.

I’m over the moon with this promotion, it’s definitely been a long time coming.

It feels like all the hard work I’ve put in over the past few years has finally been vindicated.

I’ve taken on a laundry list of new duties and a roster of staff as long as my arm! It’s definitely going to be a challenge.

Now that I’ve stepped into this new role I really need to step up and demonstrate that I can handle all of these new deliverables

I now oversee this whole department and it’s up to me to make sure that nothing gets overlooked.

    - We've done our homework on this so we're pretty confident about the outcome.

    - Now that we’re got a hypothesis, we just need to test it and see if it holds up to scrutiny.

    - We’ve got a hunch, now we just need to test it out.

    - If this doesn’t pan out then we need to make sure that it doesn’t impact the wider project.

    - Fortunately, we’ve engineered this test so as to limit the fallout.

    - We really are at the bleeding edge of the industry here.

    - These are novel ideas and we really are in uncharted territory.

    - We’re breaking new ground with this work and there’s no blueprint for how to go about this.

    - We’re definitely heading in the right direction but setbacks are to be expected.

    - It’s important that we articulate a concrete goal for the project before we start allocating resources.

    - I think we all have a vested interest in figuring this out.
