Anyway, Dennis Blaine gets all the good stories, even the one Archie found out about that involved the Mayor, a traveling butcher, one hundred thousand dollars and a llama named Lucille.

So when Archie gets a tip off from the mysterious Bella that there may be a real Vampire in the role-playing vampire society of the Blood Sorrow Gathering, Archie has to investigate.

But how does he get into the Stinking Cadaver, the place where the gathering is held, and from where Archie is banned? And how is the mysterious Aurora Anderson whose name Bella gave to Archie?
