On this episode of BizVox, produced by MonsterVox Productions Scott speaks to local small business owner Betsy Gerhart, owner of MB Subculture, in Bucyrus, Ohio, about how a deep understanding of her business's brand is helping her overcome challenges out of their control in the comic book world and effectively plan for the future.

MB Subculture, located at 122 W Rensselaer St., Bucyrus, features comic books, costumes, and a range of collectibles and curiosities. And while the Bucyrus subculture is alive and well, no business can truly be immune from challenges that result when issues arise at the supplier level. Small businesses are particularly vulnerable when issues occur upstream. Not only do the balance sheets feel the pinch, the risk of losing customers is a very real concern. Fortunately, armed with intimate knowledge and insight into the brand voice, any business can make fast and effective decisions that will not only allow your business to persevere in the wake of uncertainty, but allows you to do so in a way that continues to make your customers happy to weather the storm alongside you.

On this episode of BizVox you'll get:

    • A glimpse behind the curtain to discover some of the qualities and curiosities that make MB Subculture a unique stop to shop.
    • Insight into where you might find items for your next themed event.
