    The pacers beat the thunder last night. The oilers and panther will play tonight. The Red sox beat the Ray yesterday. Jaylen Brown had knee surgery. The defense rested in the Karen read trial yesterday. A fishing boat was found submerged in Cape Cod Bay; the captain and his girlfriend were both found dead. Anti ICE protests continue in L.A., Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Vegas and New York. Trumps mandated curfew continues in the state of L.A. The state of California is taking Trump to court for a federal takeover. The L.A. mayor spoke about it saying “This was provoked by the white house... Maybe we are part of a national experiment to see determine how far the federal government can go.” Sabrina Carpenters' new album will be released on August 29th.

    We’ve had 13 Saturdays in a row with rain. There is a curfew set in L.A to stop peaceful protests with more violence caused by LAPD, Marines and the National Guard. California mayor Gavin Newsom spoke, saying L.A. is not the first city or the last saying “other states are next, democracy is next”. ICE protests yesterday in New York, Atlanta and Chicago with another in Boston yesterday. Mayor Woo says, “ICE should take a time out”. Trump warning against protests at his military parade this weekend; says they will be met with “very big force”. Karen Read the judge saying the case could be finished by Friday. Disney took full control of Hulu, bought out Comcast stake in the business. Blue Man group is disbanding.

    Trump has sent more national guard and Marines to the protests in L.A. Other protests have been sparked around the country, with one here in Boston later today. Mayor Woo is expected to press charges on the Trump administration. The Karen Read trial was heating up yesterday; another mistrial was denied. A federal judge tossed the $400 million counter suit of Justin Baldoni in his case against Blake Lively; his $250 million suit against the New York Times was also tossed. Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper is suing Boston University. Her documentary comes out today.
