Schereéya (He/Him/Fae/Faer) is a multi-disciplinary artist and outspoken advocate for building equity through representation of Blackness, Indigeneity, neurodiversity and queerness. Currently based in Pittsburgh, PA, Schereéya’s practice focuses on freedom: Freedom of Play, of Joy, of Magic and Whimsy, of the mandate to Know oneself. “The act of Knowing myself helps me liberate myself from others’ expectations. Knowing is an ongoing process, and it takes practice and exploration. That’s what my work is- the practice of self-exploration as a method for understanding the condition of humankind.”
