  • Bloodsport - Welcome to American Politics
    2021/04/30

What if the bloodsport, we call politics, is actually a "setup"?
What if the media and political leaders want us to fight so we can't focus on the real issues?

In this episode, we discuss Arnold Kling's book "The Three Languages of Politics" and the media and political leaders are using divide and conquer politics to pit progressives, conservatives, and libertarians against each other.

  • Waking Up White America
    2021/03/02

How do you get your white friends and family to see that systemic racism is real and pervasive in America?

Racism is considered one of the three topics you shouldn't bring up if you want to have a civil conversation, along with politics and religion.  The problem with the "ignore it and it will go away approach is that racism flourishes in an atmosphere of silence and ambivalence.  Worse, in America, racism is the status quo for most Americans and it will stay that way until White America wakes up.

Stan and Dan talk about strategies for getting those closest to you to "wake up" and take action.
