  • Finding Calm Advice From Friends
    2025/08/11

Gareth Dauncey an Architect, the Founder of the Mood app and host of the How do you feel today? podcast.

Gareth knew things hadn’t felt right for a while, but he didn’t know how bad or for how long. So he started recording how he felt each day with a calendar and coloured pens. Over weeks and months he gained a self-awareness that helped him to better manage his mental well-being. Along the way, he met other people who wanted to do the same, so he created Mood. An app that allows you to 'See how you feel’ with one click a day. Gareth also chats to people about how they feel on his companion podcast 'How do you feel today?'

Like us, he is a sea dipper and, as you will find out too, we think his advice is worth listening to.

In this episode, we explore the listener question “How do you stay calm when the world around you feels like it’s falling apart?”.

    Find Gareth at:

And learn more about his work for the app and podcast at:

    website: moodapp.io

    Mood instagram - instagram.com/moodapp.io/

How do you feel today? instagram - instagram.com/howdoyoufeeltoday.podcast

Do remember that the mood app is free for 30 day trial then just 99p a month after that.

    Gareth mentions:

There is the odd swear word in this chat, so you might want to use headphones if you are in the office, or have little ones about!
