President Donald Trump’s second term is off and running with a cascade of executive actions signed inhis first weeks and more promised in the weeks to come. Trump has vowed to enact a sweeping agenda and reshape the federal government, saying in his inaugural address that “the golden age of America” was starting and naming priorities such as immigration, trade and national security. Many of these actions are coming straight from the Project 2025 playbook.
As of Wednesday, April 2nd, President Trump has issued 159 executive actions thus far. Forty-four of theseactions relate to the federal government, including seven that target diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Thirty-one actions target the economy, eleven relate to immigration, and fifteen relate to national security or foreign policy. These numbers do not include state emergency declarations, nominations sent to the Senate, or pardons/grants of clemency, except when they were issued by proclamation or order.
On the program today, what are the biggest Executive Actions so far, and which ones are being challenged in court?
