5 observations how to keep your new creative space sacred

  • When we come (back) to art at a later stage in our lives, the game is a little different compared to that of a young person. Imagine a child walking up to an adult proudly showing a newly drawn scribble of a drawing-chances are high that it will be praised for it rather than criticised. Now imagine yourself walking up to your next door neighbour or your colleagues at work with your freshly painted picture and all your insecurities of whether or not this is good enough-  reactions are likely to be a little different.
    When we have only just  rediscovered art for ourselves we need to be careful with who we share it with. And we need to be careful when we bump into old versions of ourselves, they might not wish us only the best on our new journey.
