🎧 Episode 4 : “DEI is dead. Long live DEI!”
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) policies in the US have faced growing backlash. Even some of the most committed US companies have scaled back or entirely withdrawn their DEI initiatives. In France, the US Embassy in Paris sent a letter to some French organizations working with the US government asking them to abandon all diversity policies, provoking stunned reactions.
How did we get here? Where does Europe stand on these issues? Does this suggest that DEI itself needs rethinking? We are delighted to explore these pressing questions with Armelle Carminati-Rabasse, a distinguished corporate leader and tireless advocate of DEI, which earned her the title of Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur (France’s highest order of merit).
She is interviewed by Sophie Flak, Member of the Executive Board and Managing Partner for Sustainability & Impact at Eurazeo, and by Lionel Bordeaux, former Deputy Secretary-General of COP21 and former Communications Director for COP28.
