Jehovah Rophe—the God who heals. On day 13 of our prayer journey through the names and attributes of God, we explore perhaps the most comforting divine title for those experiencing suffering of any kind.
The name first appears in Exodus 15 after the Israelites found only bitter, undrinkable water at Marah. When Moses cried out, God revealed a piece of wood that, when thrown into the water, made it sweet and life-giving. This powerful metaphor shows us how God transforms bitterness into healing, setting the stage for His declaration: "I am the Lord who heals you."
Our prayer time moves through comprehensive healing—addressing chronic pain, heart conditions, vision problems, respiratory issues, and even cancer.
