Welcome to Season One and it's my deepest joy to start with my beloved friend, Creator of Pose (series), writer, director and producer, Steven Canals.
Helming from the Bronx, Steven earned his BA in Cinema and MA in Student Affairs from Binghamton before obtaining his MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA (where we met).
Inspired by Paris is Burning, Steven created the television series Pose while still getting his MFA and once Ryan Murphy came on board with producing partner Brad Falchuk, the rest is well-known history.
To know and love Steven is a gift because he truly meets everyone with an open heart and mind. This episode encompasses so much of that as he brings forth so much gentility and grace as he discusses his divine purpose, healing and spiritual mindset.
I know you'll walk away with so much to think over as you reflect on the wisdom brought forth. Enjoy!
