Raw truth and emotion
I enjoyed this collection of poems. Its power stems from its ability to be so personal it is hard not to relate. The author’s voice pulled tears and smiles from my heart no matter where I was as I listened and wished I could scream out loud to echo but just a little of the memory, the pain and tragedy. It is a call to change, to survive, to thrive against all odds. Respect to the author as she proudly sings to us in her native voice of suffering that many are still deaf to. I’m grateful as I remember we are sisters across time, lands and language.
