Detective Sarah Jane Prentice has three problems.
First, someone in San Jose has it out for witches, and is hunting them down and killing them. Sadistically.

Each witch murder brings up a new horrifying memory Sarah Jane would rather forget. And to solve them, she'll have to face long buried family secrets and an enemy far worse than all the monsters she’s ever faced: her father.
Handling the vampire will be even trickier, because let's face it: at nearly 50 years old, hunting vampires is a young woman's game, and a little out of her purview.
