あらすじ・解説
Three young men. Away from home for their freshman year at HBCU, Winton College. The young women are plentiful…and so are the temptations. Freshman year—where freedom, opportunity, indulgence, and anxiety all converge onto finely manicured campus lawns, bustling auditoriums, deliciously scented dining halls, and cramped dorm rooms. An array of conflicting thoughts swirl wildly inside the heads of three very different young men as they each make the drive to Winton College, one of the nation’s finest HBCU’s (Historically Black College/University).
Gilbert “Glen” Russell - He’s got big plans—quickly build campus clout alongside his best friend and one of his future roommates, Reshard; put some much-needed distance between him and his father; and, most importantly, shed himself of the annoying virginity that still haunting him. Braylon Davis – Saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost, he can’t wait to get involved with one of the campus ministries and use his musical talents to impact Winton students for Jesus. But first things first—Braylon’s going to make sure his virtuous lifestyle rubs off his roommates (whoever they are).
Grayson Stewart - First-gen college student who’s determined to make his mother proud, while hooking up with as many “lil’ shawties” as possible. (“Mama ain’t got to know about all that though.”) Full of spirit and swagger, Grayson follows in his absent father’s infamous footsteps, whether he wants to acknowledge it or not.
Finally away from their various home situations, each of the young men can’t wait to build brand new lives at Winton. But when a computer glitch suddenly forces them to become roommates for the entire semester, they must figure out how to live together peacefully, and deal with the extremely annoying tendencies of the others. As the scholastic and social expectations of college collide, the fellas will each handle things differently, making choices that will impact them for the rest of their lives.
