Annie Nichols is a seasoned sustainability professional with a breadth of expertise in greenhouse gas accounting, sustainable food systems, and program management. She holds an MS in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and serves as General Manager of Biochar at Mangrove Systems. She became immersed in biochar carbon removal during her time with Carbonfuture where she worked with over 40 biochar producers across North and South America to navigate the carbon removal certification process and market. She is particularly interested in the intersection between regenerative agriculture, wildfire mitigation, and carbon removal, and is enthusiastic to invite more women into the biochar industry to drive innovation and incorporate new perspectives.
