I talked to a friend of mine who was laid off for the first time in her life. She was distraught. I learned that she got severance, an extension on her living arrangements, and is in her 3rd interview for a new job. She had started saving a year ago and has 6 months of emergency cash.
I asked her if she was counting her wins, as she lamented her story…
