This story is about an independent woman in her mid-thirties who traveled halfway around the globe to trace her ancestry and how it was connected to World War II. She started out believing she had a plan on how to find evidence of her family’s ancestry only to discover that she had reached an impasse and was completely lost. The senbazuru origami cranes were her guardian angels that protected her and guided her on the path to her destiny.
